Meet the Polarity Fitness Team
Devan H.
|
Instructor - is originally from Ypsilanti, Michigan. He had an affinity for music from a young age. From tap dancing in elementary school, he moved on to play percussion for about a decade. In high school he was involved in musical theater, choir, and ballroom dance. He studied music theory and vocal performance at Washtenaw Community College. In the summer of 2018 Devan took his first pole class and couldn't fathom staying away from Polarity ever since. He worked his way into the highest level classes before there was snow on the ground and took the chance to become an instructor at the first available opportunity. Devan uses pole fitness to challenge himself to reach new levels of strength, flexibility, and endurance. But at Polarity he's also found a welcoming community that pushes him to work harder every day!

Instructor - began her yoga journey in 2021 as an excuse to get out of the house during her remote internship. After growing up a dancer, Polarity became a new and exciting place to explore movement. Serendipitously, she enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training during her last semester at the University of Michigan in Winter 2022. After graduating both college and YTT training, she accepted a job teaching at a resort in Petoskey, Camp Michigania, where she taught over 200 hours of vinyasa, chair, yin, and children's classes. After the summer season, she moved back to Ann Arbor to work as a full time graphic designer. Still teaching yoga on the side, Liv loves to connect with the community through her practice.
